Gaynor Astley, Casework at Care and Repair in Powys, said: "Janette from the Volunteer Bureau and I thought that it would be a good idea to arrange an event so people can find out what help is available. The Coffee Morning in Llanfyllin was an opportunity to give people information they need and for them to talk to representatives of organisations in the area that can provide them with assistance and support."

“We were delighted that 35 older people in the local community came along to share advice to stay happy, healthy and safe in their homes”.

Other organisations taking part with information stands include the Red Cross, Powys Carers Service, Age Cymru, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Mid and West Wales Fire Service.
